|The Green Mountain National Forest is in partnership with the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) on the operation and maintenance of snowmobile trails in the National Forest. These trails are part of the statewide snowmobile trail system. Trail maps are available at the Forest Service and from VAST.|
You may ride snowmobiles on marked, designated trails posted open to snowmobiles as shown on VAST maps available from local clubs or National Forest offices.
Your snowmobile must be legally registered, and a valid V.A.S.T. Trails Maintenance Assessment (TMA) decal must also be displayed next to the registration on the snowmobile. TMA’s can be purchased from the club’s membership chairperson or a local business that has been contracted to sell them for the club.
