Red Mill Brook Campground is located on Forest Road 72 off of Route 9, tucked up in the Green Mountain National Forest. The campground is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Sites are available on a first come, first served basis for a fee of $10.00 per site per night, payable at the self-service fee station.
From Bennington, travel east on Route 9 for approximately 10.0 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 72, which is a narrow two-lane dirt road. Follow FR 72 to the end and the campground entrance is on the right.
From Brattleboro, travel west on Rte. 9 for about 28.0 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 72, which is a narrow two-lane dirt road. Follow FR 72 to the end and the campground entrance is on the right.
There are 31 campsites available, each with a cleared tenting area, a picnic table, fire ring, and a parking spur. Most sites can accommodate small to medium campers/ trailers, but only a few can accommodate larger campers. There are 3 vault toilets, but there is no drinking water available.. Sorry, no showers or hook-ups. A Green Mountain National Forest campground host is stationed at the campground to assist campers and answer questions.
• Maximum length of stay is 14 days in a 30 day period.
• Maximum campers per site are 8 people.
• Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
• Quiet hours are 10:00 pm.– 6:00 am
• Check out time is 2:00 pm.
