This project includes two components, with the intent of addressing the non-conforming infrastructure (roads) that may inhibit naturally occurring ecological processes to take place. The Decision Memo analysis applies to work on culverts that would be removed with a variety of non-motorized / mechanized methods such as hand crews and draft animals. Roads will be restored to a landscape level, converted to non-motorized trails, or a combination of both. The Environmental Assessment component addresses the same need but considers the potential for significant effects when motorized / mechanized methods are employed to restore the desired condition.
