Fisheries - Grout Pond

Game Fish Present: Primarily Yellow perch, Smallmouth bass, Bluegill, Bullhead, and Pickerel.

Description: Grout Pond is an 86-acre pond that is spring fed. Grout Pond is a high elevation pond that is about 28 feet deep.

Gear Suggestions: Fly-fishing, spinners and bait fishing are allowed on the pond. No motorized craft are allowed on Grout Pond.

Access: From West Wardsboro Vermont, go east on the Kelly Stand Road, Forest Highway 6 about 7.3 miles to the intersection with the Grout Pond Road. Turn left onto the Grout Pond Road and follow it south about 1 mile to Grout Pond.

Camping: There are 7 campsites, three of which are accessible by watercraft. There are several suggestions and restrictions to camping and it is recommended that you contact the Manchester Ranger District or visit the Grout Pond Recreation Area web site before camping at Grout Pond.
