For a minimum of $10, a tree or trees will be planted in the Finger Lakes National
Forest. Trees will not be individually identified on the ground, but will be part of the
forest ecosystem managed to sustain our natural resources.
A certificate suitable for framing will be sent to the person or family designated by
the donor. The donor will receive a copy of the certificate and an acknowledgement;
a copy will also be placed in our Plant-a-Tree Memory Book in our Visitor's Center.
Contributions qualify as charitable deductions under section 170 (c) (1) of the Internal
Revenue Service Code.
Checks should be made payable to "USDA Forest Service" and mailed to USDA Forest
Service, Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests, 5218 SR 414, Hector,
NY 14841.
Please send us the following Information in order to process your request:
1. The name of person being honored, or in memory of (please let us know what
words you would like us to use).
2. The name of the person to mail a copy of the certificate and acknowledgement to.
3. The name of the donor you would like printed on the Plant-a-Tree certificate.

our forest ecosystems for the future.
