With over 1,335 miles of roads designated open on the Chippewa National Forest for Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) use, a map of these designated open roads becomes necessary. Updated 2009 Motor Vehicle Use Maps are available free from Chippewa National Forest
CHIPPEWA NATIONAL FOREST ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY TRAIL CLOSURE DURING ENBRIDGE PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION
The Chippewa National Forest announces the temporary closure of a 14-mile section of Soo Line trail, from Cass Lake, Minnesota to Portage Lake, south of Highway 2. The temporary closure will begin October 20 when Enbridge pipeline work is proposed to start along Highway 2.
