REGISTRATON PROCESS
Submit completed NWCG nomination form(s) (for each course you wish to enroll), with appropriate supervisor signature, to your Training Officer. Nominations must be forwarded by Training Officers to r8_sacg_training@fs.fed.us by April 22 , 2011 to be considered for enrollment.

Forest Service, State, and Fish and Wildlife Service (R4)Attendees in the Southern Area - No tuition will be charged to attend the academy; however, travel and per diem expenses for all participants are the responsibility of the sending unit.
All Other Agencies and Out-of-Area Attendees - A $400 tuition fee will be assessed (includes any portion of a week's training with the exception of Aviation Training for Unit Aviation Officers (ATUAO) which will be charged $400 for the full 80 hours (one course, two weeks), per week. An SF182 complete with appropriate supervisor's signature (along with completed NWCG nomination) must be submitted by the nomination deadline of April 22, 2011 to r8_sacg_training@fs.fed.us or via hardcopy addressed to: Debra Burgos, USDA - Forest Service, 1720 Peachtree Road, NW, Suite 710N, Atlanta, Georgia 30309. NWCG nominations received without a complete SF182 will not be considered for enrollment. All SF182's must be received prior to attending the academy (affected students without an SF182 will not be allowed into class).
CANCELLATION
Requests to cancel a nomination will not be accepted from the student. The academy staff will confirm nominations based on the Supervisor's and/or Training Officer's recommendation and approval. Therefore, cancellation will only be accepted from the Supervisor and/or Training Officer. Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to r8_sacg_training@fs.fed.us prior to April 22, 2011 and should include the student's name, unit, course title, dates and the reason for cancellation. Students who have not cancelled by April 22, 2011, using this process or do not show up for the academy "no show," regardless of Southern Area status, are subject to a one week tuition charge of $400.00.
REQUESTS FOR SUBSTITUTION
Supervisors can send a qualified substitute to replace a confirmed student. The request must include a completed NWCG nomination and should be received prior to the scheduled course dates. All substitution requests are subject to meeting course prerequisites as outlined in the Field Manager's Course Guide, as appropriate. Some courses may have an established "waitlist" which in this case these students will be given priority placement.
REQUEST TO CHANGE A COURSE
Any request to change courses must be in writing from the student's Supervisor and/or Training Officer and are subject to course prerequisite requirements. Academy staff will not change a student's schedule at the training event without appropriate written approval from the student's Supervisor and/or Training Officer.
