Soil and Water Conservation Guide The objective of this Guide is to consolidate information for the use and development of site specific Soil and Water Conservation Practices (SWCP) on National Forest System (NFS) lands in the Southern Region. The SWCP translate legal provisions and scientific principles into solid, common sense stewardship actions. Use of the practices support wise resource management and quality results on the ground. Our Forest Plans incorporate this Guide by reference.
