Corney Lake Unit Camping Information
The Corney Lake Unit has 3 separate camping area opportunities. One at the shout shore of Corney Lake, one at the north shore of Corney Lake, and one hunter camp called Sugar Creek Camp. All 3 are primitive camps with the south shore campground being the most modern.The 2 located at Corney Lake are right at the waters edge of this beautiful 2,300 acre reservoir.

Visitors to the south shore camping area can utilize the facilities which include paved roads, lantern posts, fire rings, restrooms, ample parking, and trash receptacles.
Visitors to the north shore camp area should expect a more primitive atmosphere than the south shore facilities. There is no easy turn-around for large vehicles. The camp sites include a fire ring, lantern post, and picnic table. There is no restroom or trash receptacles
Facilities: South Campground Area: Nearby paved boat launch with loading pier and separate fishing pier, group shelter, picnic tables and benches, ample parking is provided along with restrooms and trash receptacles.
North Shore camp area: Nearby gravel boat launch, a couple of picnic tables, limited parking, vault restroom, and trash receptacles. Included at the camp site are only a picnic table, fire ring, and a lantern post.
Directions: To South Shore Campground Area: From Homer, Louisiana take Louisiana Hwy 9 north 18 miles to the recreation area sign at FR 900. Turn east onto FR 900 and travel just over 2 miles. Turn left (north) on FR 901 and proceed past the day-use/boat ramp signed road to the camp sites on the left.
To North Shore Boat Launch/day-use area: From Homer, Louisiana take Louisiana Hwy 9 north 19 miles to Forest Road 902 and turn right. Travel 3.2 miles to the boat launch loop. Caution, FR 902 is not paved and is not recommended for use by motor homes, travel trailers, or vehicles not equipped to be used on a bumpy gravel road.
