Vernon Unit Camping Information

     The Enduro Camp is a primitive camping area designated for OHV and motorcycle use. This camp can also be used for general camping by other visitors. 30 miles of Enduro Trail await the explorer ready to ride. The Enduro Camp is a designated fee area with a $5 charge per OHV operator, horse rider, or mountain bike rider.

Enduro Camp Information

Facilities: The Enduro camp has vaulted restrooms. There are no trash receptacles so please bring out what you bring in. There is no water available at this site so be sure to bring plenty of your own.

Directions: From Leesville, take U.S. Hwy 171 south 7 miles to LA Hwy 10, turn left and proceed 18 miles to Hwy 399. Turn left on Hwy 399 and proceed 2 miles to Forest Road 440, turn left and proceed 1 mile to Forest Road 442 and the Enduro Trailhead Camp.

Fees: The Enduro Camp has a $5 per operator fee.

The trailhead camp also has a group-use picnic shelter. Campgrounds and other recreation sites can be used only for recreational purposes. In campgrounds, camp only in those places specifically marked or provided.

Obey restrictions on fires. Fires may be limited or prohibited at certain times. Within campgrounds and recreation sites, build fires only in fire rings, stoves, grills, or fireplaces provided for that purpose.

Remove all personal property and trash, and be sure your fire is completely out before leaving. You are responsible for keeping fires under control.
