NEW December 18, 2009 Plan revision for the George Wasington National Forest will resume under the 1982 planning rule. See letter for more details.

July 8, 2009 Plan Revision delayed, please see letter

Interdisciplinary Team Meetings are meetings of the Forest Service employees who participate in preparing the Revised GWNF Forest Plan.  They are largely procedural in nature, i.e. schedule updates, task assignments, review of analysis materials.  While these meetings are not a part of our public collaboration efforts, they are open to the public.  Members of the public may observe the meeting and, if time allows, there will be limited opportunities for asking questions of the Interdisciplinary Team.  Members of the public who wish to attend are encouraged to contact Karen Overcash (540-265-5175), one day before the meeting to assure that the schedule has not changed.

If you would like to receive e-mail notification of IDT meetings, send an email to comments-southern-georgewashington-jefferson@fs.fed.us.  On the comment line, write Plan Revision IDT Meeting Notice.

(March 6) Added a summary of the January/February Workshops and public comments received.
