Ocean Pond Campground
Ocean Pond is a misleading name for this 1,760 acre natural lake by this Forest Service campground. The campground is along the shore of Ocean Pond. Tall pines tower overhead and Spanish moss hangs from the hardwoods. A dense understory of palmetto and young oak thrives. Grass and pine needles carpet the forest edges. Cypress trees border the shoreline of Ocean Pond. Many of the campsites are on the waterfront allowing campers to access the water or fish right from their campsite. The Florida National Scenic Trail can be accessed within the campground
