Resource Advisory Committee
Interested in serving your national forest and local community? Well now you can! As a member of the Resource Advisory Committee (RAC), under the authority of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000, you can serve as a participant in project planning and recommendations to benefit national forest lands and to support local economies. The RAC will consist of 15 members, each serving a four-year term. Project activities will occur in eastern Kentucky counties where funding has been allocated. In 2009, the counties with allocated funding include Clay, Jackson, Laurel, Leslie, and McCreary. For more information or to apply as a RAC member, see the attached links or call Fred Noack, District Ranger of the Stearns Ranger District, at (606) 376-5323. https://wwwnotes.fs.fed.us/wo/secure_rural_schools.nsf
