How to get there: Proceed about 2 miles east from Oakridge. Turn right onto Kitson Springs Road for .5 miles. Proceed right onto Forest Road 21 for 11 miles. Trail Description: This epic trail winds through stands of mixed conifer, cottonwood, and big leaf maple, giving the visitor diverse views of changing ecosystems. Many trailheads offer opportunities for shorter trips and several of the easily accessible riverside areas receive high use. There is ample opportunity to view wildlife, flowers, waterfalls, and portions of the Oregon Central Military Wagon Road. Several sections of the trail are flat and can provide a scenic walk for even the youngest family member. Bring a fishing pole and a picnic and make it a day!

Comments: The lower sections can be open year around, while the upper sections may be under snow into June.
