Warner Mountain Lookout

Elevation: 5723 ft.
Built: 1985-87, partially salvaged from Grass Mountain
Type: Tower w/replica cupola
Trail: drive-up, w/gate, easy
Staffing: currently seasonal staffing by Middle Fork R.D.
Rental status: winter rental by reservation

Warner Ridge is a thoroughly modern lookout with all the amenities. An effort to salvage the Grass Mountain tower intact was unsuccessful, so the former Rigdon District took what they had and re-built a facsimile. The result, while not truly authentic, is a charming and comfortable hybrid. It is an interesting working lookout with several structures and installations with good views of the southern end of the Forest.
