LOCATION: 15 miles southeast of Blue River

ACCESS: From Blue River, travel 4 miles east on Hwy 126 to Aufderheide Drive (FS road 19). Continue on Aufderheide Drive to French Pete Campground fro approximately 11 miles.

ELEVATION: 1,800 feet

USE: Heavy

FACILITIES: tables, fire rings, vault toilets, hand pumps, garbage service, waste water disposal sites

ACTIVITIES: camping, fishing, hiking, picnicking

DESCRIPTION & ATTRACTIONS: French Pete campground is heavily shaded by a thick canopy of conifers and located at the confluence of French Pete Creek and the South Fork of the McKenzie River. This is a very popular campground to escape the summer heat.
