DETROIT RANGER DISTRICT RECREATION UPDATE

** Be aware that the condition of recreation trails during the fall and winter can change dramatically without warning; large wind, snow and rain events can have substantial and detrimental effects on trail conditions causing hazards and obstructions to travel**

Subject: Campgrounds
Marion Forks Campground, Shady Cove Campground, and Santiam Flats Campgrounds are open. All other Campgrounds closed for the winter.

Subject: Day Use Sites
Three Pools Day Use site, and Detroit Flats Day Use site are still open. We are no longer in the Fee season.

Subject: McCoy Sno Park
Snow depths vary from 6 inches to 3 feet depending on location. Parking is currently at the upper lot.

Subject: Maxwell and Big Springs Sno Parks
Snow depths vary from 1 to 3 feet. You may encounter some patches without snow cover. Maps have been posted at both snow parks; for your safety, please bring a map with you when you venture into the snow parks.
Mtn View snow shelter is fully stocked with wood and available for use. Please contact Detroit Ranger Station to make reservations for overnight stays.
