As always, your ORVs must have a valid street license or ORV tag, silencer and USDA approved spark arrester to ride in the forest. Please remember that ATV's/Quads are only legal on routes signed 4Wxxx or ATVxx. Tickets will be issued for use on any trail not so designated. ATVs/Quads are ILLEGAL on ALL forest roads.

You will need a NW Forest Pass at most trailheads and camping areas. They are available by the day ($5) in these areas. Annual passes (Full year - 12 months for $30) are available at many outdoor retailers, at any Ranger Station, over the Internet at www.naturenw.org and by phone at 1-800-270-7504. The proceeds from the passes come back to the district for trail maintenance, bridges, etc.

Volunteer Work Parties

Please call us ahead of time if you plan to do any volunteer work on trails. We can help direct you to some of the trails in need.
