Habitat Unit Mapping

You can create several maps using the Steve Fork Carberry Creek files, which are included as downloads from the GIS Tools page in GIS_SS_SteveFork.zip.

To see an example of one of the database files (25 sec. load time), click The SteveFork Landlines and view the Excel spreadsheet.

If your are proficient in ArcView, these files will probably give you a good start at creating habitat unit mapping on your own.  Tracking the change of position of habitat units, wood and other attributes in graphic form is invaluable for presenting monitoring results to the layperson or manager.  These files can be used for pre- and post-project monitoring, by creating an EXCEL spreadsheet and then linking to GIS via an event table.
