FISH LAKE CAMPGROUND

 

General Information:   A minimally developed campground located on the shores of 20-acre Fish Lake. Deadman trailhead is one mile from the campground. Lake Fork trailhead is on the east side of the lake.

Restrictions:

Pets must always be restrained or on a leash while in developed recreation sites and on trails. Pets (except guide dogs) are not allowed in swimming areas. Saddle or pack animals are allowed in recreation sites only where authorized by posted instructions.

 

Access:

Travel on County Road #1009 from the ‘Y' in Halfway for five miles to forest boundary. From here it becomes Forest Road #66. Travel another 16 miles on single-lane gravel road to the campground.

 

Attractions:

A mountain lake to sit and relax. Enjoy the shade provided by an alpine forest as the summer's temperatures rise in the lower elevations. Six sites on the upper loop are available for RV's longer than 20 feet.

 

Considerations:

Mosquitos!...though the water level drops late summer. Drinking water may not be available when water quality test results do not meet safe drinking water standards.
