Decision Notice - Implementation of the Eastside Interim Direction EA - Amends the Forest Plan to implement short-term direction needed to maintain options for old growth related and other species while a complete analysis is developed as part of the Eastside EIS.

Record of Decision - East End Salvage and Restoration Projects FEIS - Changes a corridor along the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway from A-1 to A-4 to allow greater flexibility in managing the area as a scenic travel corridor. Also reallocates 148 acres of existing old growth habitat as C1 to replace an unsuitable stand currently allocated as C1.

Record of Decision - Region 6 - All National Forests in Region are released from direction for unwanted, non-native vegetation in the 1988 ROD for Managing Competing/Unwanted Veg and Mediated Agreement, 1989. New desired, future condition, goals/objectives, standards, inventory and monitoring frameworks are implemented.

FOREST PLAN REVISION logo for Forest Plan Revision

NFMA (National Forest Management Act) requires each National Forest to develop a Forest Plan and update or revise it when conditions have significantly changed, or at least every 15 years. The Forest Plans for the Malheur, Umatilla, and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests are being revised to incorporate new information, current science, and changed conditions.More.

SCHEDULE OF PROPOSED ACTIVITIES

The Forest publishes a quarterly Schedule of Proposed Activities which provides project descriptions, status, and contacts. More.

INVASIVE PLANTS TREATMENT EIS

The Umatilla National Forest proposes to control, contain, or eradicate invasive plants on nearly 25,000 acres. These plants have the potential to displace or alter native plant communities and cause long-lasting economic and ecological problems within and outside the National Forests. More.

ECOSYSTEM AND ROADS ANALYSIS

Ecosystem Analysis at the Watershed Scale is the process used by the Umatilla National Forest to characterize the historic and current biotic and abiotic conditions for individual watersheds. The understanding gained from ecosystem analysis is critical for helping to sustain the health and resilience of natural resources administered on behalf of the American people. More.

NORTH FORK JOHN DAY WILD & SCENIC RIVER MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Oregon Omnibus Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1988 placed the North Fork John Day River into the National Wild and Scenic Rivers system, to be managed according to the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968. More information about Roads Analysis
