Aspen Restoration in the Blue Mountains

Quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides)
is a tree noted for its beauty. Aspen stands also provide valuable
wildlife habitat and often exist as part of unique plant communities.
Over the course of the past century, aspen has been steadily declining
over much of the western United States. This website is dedicated to
restoration efforts currently in use on the Umatilla National Forest.
