Blue Mountains Community Collaborative Events
What: We are revising the Forest
Plans for the national forests in the Blue Mountains. These Forest
Plans provide broad direction about how to manage all of the
resources on the Malheur, Umatilla, Wallowa-Whitman, and a portion
of the Ochoco National Forest.
Why: We want to work with everyone
who is interested in the Forest Plans and who will be affected
by them. In the Blue Mountains Community Collaborative Workshops
and Field Trips, we are working together to develop a vision
for the future management of the Blue Mountains, create the building
blocks that will be used in the new Forest Plans, identify the
things in the current Forest Plans that are not working, and
craft revision proposals.
