Aspen Restoration in the Blue Mountains Quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) is a tree noted for its beauty. Aspen stands also provide valuable wildlife habitat and often exist as part of unique plant communities. Over the course of the past century, aspen has been steadily declining over much of the western United States.
