Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Trailhead Facilities: Toilet, picnic tables, viewing platforms.

Accessibility: Yes first ½ mile.

How to get there: 10.5 miles North of Reedsport mile post 201 Hwy 101.

Nearby: Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Tahkenitch, Tahkenitch Landing, Tahkenitch Dunes, Threemile Lake, Tahkenitch Creek Loop, Tahkenitch Creek Trail, Threemile South

Trail Description: Trail is paved for the first ½ mile to a viewing area and several picnic site. From there the trail is not accessible for wheel chairs. The trail then turns and goes down to the open dunes that leads to the beach.

Comments: Look for signs showing where snowy plover habitat areas are located. Please respect the birds’ privacy when nesting.
