East Fork Pasayten-McCall's Gulch Trail 451/548

 

Access: Western Terminus: Hidden Lakes Trail 477, north of Big Hidden Lake. Eastern Terminus: Larch Creek Trail 502, north of Three Fools Pass.

Route Description: Valley bottom trail that ascends East Fork of the Pasayten River, mostly in lodgepole forest, and turning up the McCall's Creek drainage (trail #458) to the alpine meadow of McCall's Gulch and the junction with Larch Creek Trail.

Highlights: This trail makes large loops between Sheep Mountain and Hidden Lakes possible using the same trailhead.

Specific Hazards/Difficulties: This trail should be considered difficult for stock due to brush and low priority for maintenance. 

 

Length: 10.5 miles/16.9 km.

Season: July - September.

Restrictions: Wilderness use restrictions apply.

Trailhead Facilities: Northwest Forest Pass required.
