Fishing Directory: Back Country Lakes

Rivers and Streams Lakes and Reservoirs Back Country Lakes

National Weather Service

The National Forest has a remarkable variety of fishing opportunities. Its numerous lakes and streams include many that are stocked by Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. Several are accessible by car for an afternoon of family fishing; others can be reached only by trail and are sought by people who want to fish a lake or part of a stream by themselves for a day. Some require cross-country travel with no road or trail access.

This fishing information is divided into three categories: (1) rivers and streams, (2) lakes and reservoirs accessible by road, and (3) back country lakes. Each entry in the Directory is accompanied by a description of the location, size, fish species and recreation facilities (if present).

Lakes and streams are listed in the Fishing Directory with their township and range locations. On the Forest Travel Plan Map township numbers are displayed along the sides. Range numbers are on the top and bottom. Use the township and range numbers as map coordinates to locate a body of water on the forest.
