Aerial Survey Flight Information

Every year since 1947, aerial surveys have recorded the insects and diseases affecting forests in Oregon and Washington. These annual surveys are cooperative efforts by the Forest Health staffs of the Washington Department of Natural Resources, Oregon Department of Forestry, and the U.S. Forest Service. Digital data and maps are available for recent years; survey data from earlier years are being digitized. Maps based on aerial survey data can also be generated interactively through the FHP Geospatial Portal. Aerial survey observations and other data have been summarized in Forest Health Highlights, Conditions Reports, and other related reports.
