Salmon Creek

[Photo]: Salmon Creek Salmon Creek is a medium-sized river, flowing from the crest of the Cascade Mountains to the Middle Fork Willamette River near the town of Oakridge.

Driving Directions: Take Hwy 58 to Oakridge, turning at the downtown exit. Follow Salmon Creek Road (FS road 24) for 6 miles to Salmon Creek Falls Campground
Fish Species: Native rainbow and cutthroat trout, Hatchery rainbow trout are stocked April-July
Fishing Methods: Fly, Spin
Angling Season: Summer, Fall
Campgrounds: Salmon Creek Falls

Fall Creek

[Photo]: Fall Creek This lower elevation stream flows from 3,000 feet to 1,200 feet in elevation. It is a tributary to the Middle Fork Willamette River. The stream is characterized by dramatic bedrock pools, and scenic falls. It is a popular camping and hiking destination.

Driving Directions: From Lowell, drive north to Unity. County Rd. 6204 (which becomes Forest Rd.18) leads to Fall Creek Reservoir, continue upstream.
Fish Species: Stocked with hatchery-raised rainbow trout, Native cutthroat trout
Fishing Methods: Fly, Spin, Bait
Angling Season: Spring, Summer, Fall
Campgrounds: Dolly Varden, Broken Bowl, Big Pool, Johnny Creek, Bedrock, Puma Creek

Breitenbush River

[Photo]:Breitenbush River This medium-sized river flows Westerly from the crest of the Cascade Mountains through Breitenbush hot springs before turning south and emptying into Detroit Reservoir at the town of Detroit. This stream flows at high velocity during spring run-off.

Driving Directions: FS Road 46 parallels the Brietenbush River north of Detroit.
