Little River

Little River Little River is a mountain setting where hiking around Hemlock Lake and Meadows varies from easy to steep (3,000-5,000 feet in elevation).
Vehicle/Fishing Access: 2 X 4
Barrier Free Access: Limited
Hiking: Yes
Driving Directions: From Roseburg, east on State highway 138, 18 miles to Glide, then southeast on Little River Rd. (CR 17, FR 27)
Fish Species: Rainbow trout, cutthroat trout
Fishing Methods:  
Angling Season: Spring, Summer, Fall
Campgrounds: There are various sites in the area, some barrier free at Hemlock Lake, Hemlock Meadows, Lake in the Woods, Cool Water and White Creek

North Umpqua River

North Umpqua River The North Umpqua River is a good choice for native steelhead, rainbow, and cutthroat trout. Hiking in the area varies in difficulty with elevation ranging from 1,150 to 6,200 feet.

Barrier Free Access: Limited
Hiking: Yes
Driving Directions: From Roseburg, east on State highway 138, parallels river from Glide (18 miles) to Toketee Lake (59 miles)
Fish Species: Steelhead, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout
Fishing Methods:  
Angling Season: Year-round
Campgrounds: There are various campgrounds in the area, some with barrier free access.

Clearwater River

Clearwater River Clearwater River is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery at 4,000 to 5,000 feet in elevation. Hiking in the area includes the North Umpqua River, Diamond Lake and Mt. Thielson which ranges in difficulty from easy to steep.

Barrier Free Access: Limited

Driving Directions: From Roseburg, east on State highway 138 (60-75 miles)
Fish Species: Brook trout
Fishing Methods:  
Angling Season: Year-round
Campgrounds: There are sited along Clearwater River and at Lemolo Lake and Diamond Lake. Barrier free access varies by campground.

Lake Creek

Lake Creek Lake Creek is in a beautiful mountain setting at approximately 5,000 feet in elevation. Hiking is similar to that of Clearwater River (see entry above).

Driving Directions: From Roseburg, east on State highway 138, 73 miles
Fish Species: Brown trout, rainbow trout
Fishing Methods:  
Angling Season: Year-round
Campgrounds: Same as Clearwater River (see entry above)

Brice Creek

Driving Directions: From Cottage Grove, east on County road 2400 (10 miles), then southeast on County road 2470

Campgrounds: Cedar Creek Campground: 8 sites, barrier free restrooms, trailer parking, hiking
Lund Park: 1 site, picnic facilities and barrier free restrooms and parking
