Sullivan Lake

Sullivan Lake Sullivan Lake is a popular recreation lake nestled in the mountains of northeast Washington. In addition to fishing for trout, salmon and burbot, visitors come to the lake for camping, canoeing, swimming, scuba diving and hiking along the trail on the east side of the lake. Other attractions include ice fishing and bighorn sheep viewing during the winter months. Size: 1,380 surface acres. Depth: 320 feet. Elevation: 2,600 feet.

Hiking: 13 miles
Driving Directions: Sullivan Lake is approximately 90 miles northeast of Spokane off State highway 31. It is approximately 4.5 miles southeast of the town of Metaline Falls. The Sullivan Lake Ranger District Office is located approximately 5 miles southwest of Metaline Falls on the north end of Sullivan Lake. The District Office is a source for National Forest maps and other recreational information on the Colville National Forest.
Fish Species: German brown trout, rainbow trout, kokanee, burbot
Fishing Methods: Fly, Spin, Bait
Angling Season: Spring, Fall, Winter
Campgrounds: Sullivan Lake and Noisy Creek campgrounds on the north and south sides of Sullivan Lake respectively.

Gillette Lake

Gillette Lake

An easily accessible site
Gillette Lake is a very popular lake in a setting of low wooded hills. The lake is connected by water thoroughfares accessible by small boats to three other lakes. There is a boat dock and concrete boat ramp. There is also a small beach by the Gillette Campground. In addition to fishing, visitors come to this lake for camping, hiking, swimming, waterskiing and canoeing. Size: 48 surface acres. Depth: 85 feet. Elevation: 3,200 feet.

Driving Directions: Gillette Lake is approximately 96 miles northeast of Spokane off State highway 20. It is approximately 25 miles east of the town of Colville. The Supervisor's Office is a source for National Forest maps and other recreational information on the Colville National Forest.

Big Meadow Lake

Big Meadow Lake

An easily accessible site
Big Meadow Lake is a popular lake in a beautiful setting of forested mountains. The lake has a primitive boat launch and fishing pier with barrier free access on the west end. In addition to fishing, visitors come to this lake for camping, hiking, birding and canoeing.

Lake Leo Lake Leo is a very popular lake in a setting of low wooded hills. The lake has a primitive boat launch. In addition to fishing, visitors come to this lake for camping, swimming, and canoeing. Winter activities include cross-country skiing along groomed trails during the winter months. Size: 39 acres. Depth: 37 feet. Elevation: 3,200 feet.

Crescent Lake is a small lake set in low wooded hills near the U.S./Candian border. Visitors also come to the lake to camp nearby.

Lake Ellen is a very popular lake in a setting of low dry hills of sagebrush and timber. The lake has a primitive boat launch on the north end. In addition to fishing, visitors come to this lake for camping, swimming, and canoeing. Size: 78 acres. Depth: 34 feet. Elevation: 2,340 feet.

Trout Lake Trout Lake is a small lake in a beautiful setting of forested canyon walls. The lake has a primitive boat launch on the south end. In addition to fishing, visitors come to this lake for camping, hiking and canoeing. Size: 8 acres. Depth: 20 feet. Elevation: 3,040 feet.

South Skookum Lake is a popular lake in a beautiful setting of forested mountains. The lake has a boat launch and a dock with access to the disabled on the west end. In addition to fishing, visitors come to this lake for camping, hiking and canoeing. Size: 32 acres. Depth: 15 feet. Elevation: 3,500 feet.

Brown's Lake

Brown's Lake is a popular fly-fishing only lake in a beautiful setting of forested mountains. The lake has a primitive boat launch on the south end. In addition to fishing, visitors come to this lake for camping, canoeing and to view the cutthroat spawning run in the Spring from a platform off the main inlet to the lake. Size: 88 acres. Depth: 23 feet. Elevation: 3,450 feet.
