FishWatch

FishWatch is
an aquatic- and fisheries-focused
educational program established
by the USDA Forest Service to elevate
awareness of the importance for
fish and clean water; encourage
an interest and excitement for
fish viewing; provide fish viewing
opportunities; and provide opportunities
for volunteers and partnerships
to play a role in the conservation
of our aquatic resources.

National Fishing Week

National
Fishing Week is the "flagship" of
the Regional Fisheries Aquatic
Education Program. All 20 administrative
units in the Region participate.
Over 650 partners participate
in raising the level of awareness
and appreciation of the Pacific
Northwest's fisheries resources
and recreational fishing. All
65 events include fisheries education,
fishing instruction, contests,
Native American culture, and
fishing ethics. National Fishing
Week takes place in June, and
attendance normally reaches approximately
20,000 people!

Pacific Northwest Aquatic Training
Program

Pacific
Northwest Aquatic Training Program is
a series of technical training
courses on aquatic inventories,
data interpretation, fluvial
geomorphology, watershed restoration,
and monitoring and evaluation.

containing a variety of educational
resources for the Pacific Northwest
Region salmon habitat!

a charitable non-profit organization
based in Portland, Oregon, providing
educational programs in ecology.
We seek to improve science education

that are hands-on, community based
