Greetings:
Our website (http://airspace.blm.gov) is being accessed a great deal, but we need to insure the information from this site is distributed to those who need it. Also this site and the others like it are no substitute for an official call the Flight Service Station. We are pleased the public is accessing this site and hopefully it will help improve safety around our TFR'S, National Security TFR'S and through out General Aviation. Even more important our own agencies should use this site as well as the USFS, AOPA, EAA,FAA and other sites to help improve safety.
Remember there is a USER FRIENDLY PRINTER button (Printable Chart) in the TFR by STATE section within each text version of a NOTAM/ TFR. When you right click and save (or save target as), it downloads that specific TFR into an Adobe PDF file, it then displays that TFR in the best format (WAC , Sectional or GNC) and this allows it to be printed on a letter size piece of paper. It will have the TFR number, the Lat Long as well as the date and time. This is ideal information for pilots and staff and easy to acquire. Please get as much information about TFR'S to your pilots as possible.
LARGE MAPS: If you have access to a printer plotter for upto 45 x 45 inch printing we can get you into the
section to draw large maps. This will print large high resolution sectional or WAC charts for a wide coverage area.
I encourage you to have these printed! Call me for details on how to do this.
Low level refueling routes are now available on the vector presentation in the TFR by MAP section. You must Zoom in for more detail to be displayed on that initial presentation. This also produces a good large map.
Also remember the blanket NOTAM on area's to avoid.
