Two-year old western white pine seedlings from 2003 sowing at Dorena GRC, inoculated with blister rust in September 2004. Note large variation in lammas growth among families - seedlings of each family arranged in 10-tree row plots. Progress of blister rust infection will be followed for five years (symptoms not visible yet).
