Temperature zones were created by union of level III ecoregions with minimum winter temperature in 5 degree Farenheit bands. Polygons were generated from grid data by dissolving on grid code values. Polygons less that 2000 acres were elinimated using the longest edge method keeping the outside edge of the feature. Finally, a dissolve on the TempClass field was done to create single part polygons
