Attibutes where checked against valid values by joining feature attribute tables to external Databases to check for inconsistances. Checks for key fields where completed by testing the frequency of the data.

Full outer joins were completed against lookup values for features. Stream class values were taken from STR database on the Umatilla and joined to stream coverage by segment_tag.
Logical_Consistency_Report:
Permissable attribute values were checked using lookup values in ArcInfo Tables. Build was completed at publication time for Polygon coverages if necessary. Dangles were eliminated where necessary. All editing was done using ArcInfo 7.x or 8.x for these test.

Polygon location was derived from stream locations stored in streams coverage. Some movement of boundaries resulted of running arcinfo dissovle command on resulting buffer by stream class.

Process_Description:
Stream coverage feature attribute table (FAT) was joined to fsdba.str_data oracle table and stream class was attached to FAT by joinitem command. The resulting coverage was then run through a aml using the buffer command and the update command. Class 4 streams were buffered 100 feet. Class 3 streams were buffered 150 feet. Class 2 and 1 streams were buffered 300 feet. The results of each buffering were then used to create a new coverage by using the update command. Class 4 buffers where updated by class 3 buffers. This result was updated with Class 2 buffers and this result was updated with Class 1 buffers.
