The VegHardwoodAspen feature class contains polygon corporate data which depicts known stand locations of Aspen on the WhitmanPine and Wallowa Valley Districts. This feature class is a product of the Pacific Northwest Region Coverage to Geodatabase Conversion Project in an effort to standardize data throughout the Region.
Corporate data contained within the VegHardwoodAspen feature class is intended for spatial display and analysis purposes.

Known stand locations of Aspen.
Feature Class is a merge of two feature classes from district libraries. T:\FS\Reference\GIS\r06_waw\Data_wmo\Vegetation.gdb\Aspen and T:\FS\Reference\GIS\r06_waw\Data_whit\Vegetation.gdb\Aspen_2002. Aspen_2002 was originally a point layer. Buffered each point with 60' to make into approximately 1/4 acres polygons. This was discussed with Joe Sciarrino (Pine Silviculturist) and he approved the method. Aspen was already a polygon layer.
