Abstract:
Existing and Historical Developed Recreation Sites of the Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests |
|
Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.

Full outer joins were completed against lookup values for features.
Permissable attribute values were checked using lookup values in ArcInfo Tables and INFRA
None
Coverage was created using Roads, Orthophotos, Developed rec_site_pt coverage, Streams, DRGS as reference location. Polygons were heads up digitized Using ArcView 3.3. Coverage attributes were populated on the polygon coverage by linking to the INFRA Recreation tables by the name of the Developed Rec site. Control numbers were then calulated into the coverage using a relate to the INFRA database by a match on the Name of the site. The INFRA database used was the Umatilla NF Database. The regiondissolve command was used to create the region delvelopement

Updated the locations of most polygons on the North end of the Umatilla NF where they were smaller than the A6 Polygons from the MAS layer. I made them the same polygons as the A6 when possible.

Added Representations for Existing Recreation Sites with marker symbols that closely conforms to the Cartographic Specifications and Symbols Handbook, EM-7140-24, Chapter 2.
Added a field called subtype2 to track if a trail head was designed for motorized trail equipment. Field was also populated as needed for the Pomeroy and Walla Walla Districts.

Added Developed Rec Sites for the Wallowa Whitman from polygons provided by Dan Ermovick. All sites linked to INFRA. Removed any overlap and gaps in Polygons as needed. Added a Domain called forest to the Database so that we can track the feature relative to the Forest that manages the feature in the INFRA Database.
