Abstract:

Historic fire extents identified by Emily Heyerdahl's research in the Blue Mountains of Eastern Oregon and Southeast Washington.

Purpose:

The data is supplemental to the fire history coverages tracked at the province level. Spatial data is mapped by region feature class due to overlapping fire perimeters. Fire extents are truncated at the boundaries of her study sites.

Supplemental_Information:

This data should not be construid as a complete mapping of a fire perimeter for any given year. This is due to the fact that the fire perimeters are generated from tree core samples and do not represent the actual burn perimeter. It is only a approximatation.
