A route system depicting all trails within or in close proximity to an administrative unit. This feature class meets USDA Forest Service National GIS Data Dictionary Standards.
Purpose:
A trail is a linear feature constructed for the purpose of allowing the free movement of people, stock, or Off Highway Vehicles (OHV). Route measurements and route directions must correspond to those stored in the Infra Oracle table RTE_BASICS.

Applied missing M value fix per Ken Burton's instructions: 1) Copy the Trail feature class from t:\FS\Reference\GeoTool\r06\Template\Geodatabase\Transportation.mdb into your existing Transportation database. By default it will be named 'Trail_1'. 2) In ArcCatalog, Loaded Trail_1 with T:\FS\NFS\MtHood\Program\ResourceInfoMgmt\GIS\DataMaintTransportation\Data\Transportation.mdb\Transportation\Trail which has a good set of measures. 3) Export the metadata from the Trail feature class. While this data does not have measures, it has good metadata. Choose the FGDC CSDGM (XML) format. 4) Delete the Trail feature class from the Transportation database. 5) Rename Trail_1 to Trail 6)Import the Trail.xml metadata into the Trail feature class. Edited metadata with process step in ArcCatalog and MAUI.
