Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.
Streams and Rivers. Routed LLID stream coverage.
Coverage of Malheur National Forest and surrounding area streams and rivers for display and analysis
Extent is 5th field watersheds touching Malheur National Forest. Does not contain ephemerals (class 5 streams). These are in a separate coverage class5. Streams were routed using the Region 6 Stream Routing Tool (SRT) and subsequent edits using TED. The streams route system was dropped since NRIS uses the LLID route system. When editing using TED, use copyfeatures to copy the llid route system to streams route system (copyf stream route.llid stream route.streams); add the Name attribute 60 60 c to the rat, and in tables or arcedit calculate name = stream_nm. Delete the name attribute and streams route system when done. This is necessary because the SRT tool uses the streams route system not the llid (it was created before NRIS).

Updated watersheds Fields, Mt.Vernon, Beech Cr, Canyon Cr, and Prairie City with ODFW survey data for Westslope Cutthroat Trout distribution. I updated fish_code_source with O were ODFW verified data, and F were forest data was input (*any places where ODFW and FS data conflicted, FS data was incorporated.)
Updated information both spatially and stream_classes within Banner Planning Area on LCRD.
Further updating of streams within Banner.
Updated Long Creek streams, with Chinook, steelhead, and Redband distribution. The data was compiled from a map composed from the Regional Office (1977), verifications were made by district biologist (John Morris).
Updated Bear Valley streams, with Chinook, steelhead, and Redband distribution. The data was compiled from a map composed from the Regional Office (1977), verifications were made by district fish biologist Bill Stover. Items fish_distribution and str_category were populated on all classes per direction by Bill Stover. Updated str_name and str_class (quads 45/46/47).
Made updates to the upper Malheur Lake Basin (Silvies River) which included: str_class, fish_distributio, str_category, fish_code, fish_code_source. All dealing with the Redband trout distribution.

Updated quads 38/49/57/58 from scanned data that M.Strong scanned for me. Added bull trout to Big Creek and Granite Boulder Creek per John Morris.
Due to corrupted cover on 4/16/99, I re-entered bull trout distribution on Big Creek and Granite Boulder Creek, per John Morris.
Re-adding in scanned quads 38, 49, 57, 58 which were scanned in by M.Strong. I had to re-enter the information due to my update coverage becoming corrupted in Arcview on 4/16/99. Deleted out all of the nodes left over from moss on BV. I changed class five streams from category 4 to blank (decision made by the forest hydrologist), on BV.
Routed layer for naming purposes. Route system is str_name, and route item is name.
Connie is now at the Enterprise RD, Wallowa-Whitman NF.
dropped route str_name. added route name. ran routestats for name. arclength is in meters. added stream names for the Burns District. dropped route str_name. added route str_name with no blank option.
