Abstract:
Depicts the area of activities within or in close proximity to an administrative unit. |

Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.
Depicts the area of activities within or in close proximity to an administrative unit.

The Forest Service uses the most current and complete data available. GIS data and product accuracy may vary. They may be developed from sources of differing accuracy; accurate only at certain scales; based on modeling or interpretation; incomplete while being created or revised; etc. Using GIS products for purposes other than those for which they were created, may yield inaccurate or misleading results. The Forest Service reserves the right to correct, update, modify or replace GIS products without notification.
Accuracy testing must use NSSDA testing guidelines or be reported based on compiled, published test reports appropriate for the data collection method and equipment. The method of determining accuracy should be documented in the process step of the dataset metadata record. If published accuracy results are used, use the statement 'Compiled to meet ___ (meters, feet) horizontal accuracy at 95% confidence interval' in the metadata record, and identify the testing source used. If accuracy is locally tested to NSSDA standards, the statement 'Tested to meet ___ (meters, feet) horizontal accuracy at 95% confidence interval' should be added to the metadata record. Accuracy for legacy data may be reported according to the accuracy standard in place at the time of data collection (typically National Map Accuracy Standards). Document the standard used in the metadata record. (For more information, see: http://www.fgdc.gov/standards/documents/standards/accuracy/chapter3.pdf)

Internal feature number.
ESRI
Globally unique identifier across all Forest Service databases, foreign key to most Forest Service National Application databases.
Identifies the stage of activities in the subunit: NEPA, Layout, or Accomplished.
Globally Unique Identifier for each feature, managed by ESRI software.

Subunit ID. Identifies the Region, Forest, District, FACTS ID, and Subunit. Identifies the subunit where an activity will occur within an Activity Unit. Activity Subunits can have multiple activities on them and overlap with other Subunits within the Activity Unit. SUID is alpha/numeric. SUID is one of the links between spatial and tabular data records.
Distance (+/-), in dataset distance units, of expected difference between feature and real world object locations.

Length of feature in internal units.
ESRI
Area of feature in internal units squared.
