This coverage was formerly called FACQ. Name change occured September 1998. Extensive verification/attributing. Correction has been done to own based on Connie Pittocks's input/records. Verification (prior to creating test plots) was done 10 May 1994 with Connie's assistance. A few mis-codings were found but primarily coding of polygons around the perimeter of the Sandy River delta (submerged lands, shorelands). Coding was changed to class = 'OSTATE' and owner = 'OSTATE. Final verification and attribute editing was finished 2 June 1994. July 1998 - This coverage was previously called OWNER and FACQ. In July 1998 it was moved from. Referenced library. August/September 1998, updated and verified. Feature attribute table was modifed. Items X, acres and newcode were dropped from the table. The value NFS was eliminated from the OWNER.TYPE item, because it was redundant with class and owner. The OWNER.TYPE item was changed to OWNER_TYPE. Values in the CLASS item were modified. What was previously coded as OSTATE and WSTATE are now STATE and what was WPARK and OPARK are now coded STATEPARK. The value of PURCHASE/EXCHANGE was reevaluated, and eliminated. These polygons are now coded as either PURCHASE or EXHANGE and DONATION. In September 1998 the CLASS item was replaced by the OWN item. The codes in the OWN item are consistant with the National Standards for ownership, where applicable. The feature class is now called Ownership and is updated as needed per USFS Land status record updates.
