Summer TrailsTam McArthur Trail -- Trail #4078
ACCESS: The trail begins from the Tam McArthur Trailhead on F.S. Rd. 16. DESCRIPTION: From the trailhead the trail climbs south up on to Tam McArthur Rim and then turns westward. NOTE: The trail enters the Three Sisters Wilderness Area shortly after leaving the trailhead. Wilderness Permits are required for both day-use and overnight travel in the Wilderness from Memorial Day Weekend until Oct. 31. Permits are available at the trailhead. FEE: Trailhead is a Recreation Pass Site - Vehicle Permit - $5.00 Day Pass or $30.00 Annual Pass or other valid Recreation Passes LENGTH: 2.6 miles ELEVATION (low): 6500 feet ELEVATION (high): 7700 feet SEASON: Summer-Fall DIFFICULTY: Moderate to Difficult RECOMMENDED USES: Hiking, Horses PROHIBITED USES: Mtn Bikes, Motorized Use
