The 14' x 14' cabin sits on a two-story tower hugging the side
of Green Ridge. The lookout was built in 1963 at this site because
of its spectacular view of the Metolius River Valley and Mt. Jefferson.
The lookout is at an elevation of 4,800 feet. Winter access
may require high clearance 4x4 vehicles, snowmobiles or cross-country
skis.
The lookout can accommodate 4 people and is available for rental
from April 15 to June 30 and from September 15 to November 15.
The rental rate is $40/night.

Directions: From Sisters, travel 5.5 miles west on U.S. Highway 20 to Forest Road 11 at Indian Ford Campground. Turn right on FSR 11, heading north; travel on the paved road for approximately 10 miles to the end of the pavement and junction of FSR 1150. Take the left fork, FSR 1150, to a junction with FSR 1154. Take a left on FSR 1154 to FSR 1140. Take a left of FSR 1140 to spur road 600. Take a very sharp right on spur road 600 and travel approximately 1/2 mile to a locked gate on the right, spur road 650 (no signs). Unlock the gate with provided key. At the end of the spur road is the Green Ridge Lookout.
