CURRENT CONDITIONS SEASON: May to October LOCATION: on Whitefish Creek at west end of Crescent Lake, adjacent to Forest Road 60 approximately 5 miles southwest of Crescent Lake Junction.ACCESS: from Crescent, 12.2 miles west on Rd. 61, then 3.5 miles north on Hwy. 58 , then 6.7 miles west on Rd. 60 DESCRIPTION: The campground is dedicated to equestrian use.The campground is only a few hundred feet from Crescent Lake. ELEVATION: 4850 feet FACILITIES: Piped drinking water is available from an artesian well. Stock water is also available. Vault toilets are provided. Each site has a table, fireplace, horse stalls, and parking spur. Garbage pick up and manure removal is provided weekly. Campers are expected to shovel manure into feed sacks and place them next to the road so that maintenance people can pick them up. Firewood is not provided, but can be gathered from the nearby forest. SITES: 17 Trailer/Tent MAXIMUM SPUR LENGTH: 40 feet SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: The adjacent Diamond Peak Wilderness and Oregon Cascades Recreation Area offer an extensive network of trails including the Metolius-Windigo National Recreation Trail.
