CURRENT CONDITIONS

SEASON: April to October

LOCATION: On Crescent Lake, about 2 miles southwest of Crescent Lake Junction on Forest Road 60.

DESCRIPTION: Campground vegetation is a mix of east and west side types including Douglas fir, white fir, ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, Manzanita and chinquapin. Crescent Lake Resort is just across the dam from the campground and offers a number of services including food, camping, fishing supplies, and boat rentals.

ACCESS: From Crescent, 12.2 miles west on Rd. 61, then 3.5 miles north on Hwy. 58 , then 2.6 miles west on Rd. 60

ELEVATION: 4850 feet

FACILITIES: Drinking water is provided from a deep well through a piped distribution system. Refuse bins are located in the campground, and garbage is picked up once each week. Vault toilet facilities are provided throughout the campground. The campground road is paved. Firewood is not provided, but can be gathered from the forest nearby. A small area of the campground is set aside for day-use picnicking. A boat launch ramp and floating loading dock for boaters are provided.

SITES: There are 47 individual camping units each having a fireplace, table, and parking spur. Sites which are suitable for tent, trailer, and motorhome camping are available, but no hook-ups are provided.

MAXIMUM SPUR LENGTH: 50 feet

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: picnicking, fishing, trails, swimming, boating (power or sail), water skiing, and trail access to Diamond Peak Wilderness
