CURRENT CONDITIONS SEASON: May to October LOCATION: On Crescent Lake, about 9 miles southwest of Crescent Lake Junction on Forest Road 60.ACCESS: from Crescent, 12.2 miles west on Rd. 61, then 3.5 miles north on Hwy. 58 , then 9.9 miles west and south on Rd. 60 DESCRIPTION: The historic Elliott Wagon Road (1853) passed near this site. The campground was named in 1925 by F. W. Cleator of the Forest Service after the lodgepole pine species which grows on the site (Pinus contorta). ELEVATION: 4850 FACILITIES: Vault toilets, garbage service, NO drinking water SITES: 13 trailer/tent sites and 5 tent camping only sites MAXIMUM SPUR LENGTH: 35 feet SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: camping, picnicking, fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, wind surfing, water skiing OPERATED BY: Recreation Resource Management, Inc.
