Project Description: Restore and maintain fire dependent ecosystems and maintain the forest in a healthy condition as anticipated by the Deschutes National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan and its amendments. Treatments under consideration are ones that will promote and sustain late and old structured forest stands, reduce susceptibility to bark beetles and dwarf mistletoe infestation, and reduce fuel loading within the Deadlog planning area.
