Crown Pacific Land Exchange FEIS
Deschutes, Fremont, and Winema National
Forests
The Proposed Action is the jointly proposed land exchange
that involves approximately 32,936 acres of National Forest
Service (NFS) lands for approximately 38,745 acres of land owned
by Crown Pacific Limited Partnership. The proposed exchange
involves lands within and in the vicinity of the Deschutes,
Fremont, and Winema National Forests. The exchange lands include
discontiguous parcels of NFS lands that are surrounded by Crown
Pacific land, parcels of Crown Pacific land that are surrounded by
NFS lands, and parcels along irregular edges separating the two
ownerships. The Winema National Forest, while not offering lands
for exchange, would receive lands from Crown Pacific.
